Why is 6.38 mm Laminated Glass Better Than Normal 5 mm or 6 mm Glass?
1) Laminated Structure: The 6.38 mm laminated glass is made of two layers of glass with a polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayer in between. This design holds the glass together even when broken, reducing the risk of injury from sharp shards.
2) Breakage Resistance: Laminated glass is much harder to break through compared to standard glass, offering an extra layer of security against break-ins.
3) Better Noise Reduction: Sound Insulation: The PVB interlayer in 6.38 mm laminated glass dampens sound vibrations, reducing the amount of external noise that enters your home. This creates a quieter and more comfortable living environment.
Comparison with Standard Glass: Cost and Quality: Although similar in thickness, 6 mm standard glass is much cheaper than 6.38 mm laminated glass, the latter offers superior quality.
